Chore assign kids per day 🙏

First of all well done 👏

Over the last week I have done a full overhaul of my daily chores system, complete rename, time/schedule changes, config update etc.

I mainly use a 3 kid 2 day a week rotation.

Example

wash up am A, kid A, Daily, applicable days monday, Thursday

wash up am kid B Tuesday, Friday

Wash up am kid C Wednesday, Saturday

Sundays we run a free for all, first to do and claim gets double points v5.0 these had issues but i see this was already fixed.

I have 10 chores on the same rotatation. To edit a single chore I have to edit 3 chores.

With the due date per kid is it possible to add assigned days? 🙏

This would massively reduce my chore count and make things far easier to manage as its becoming a bit of a chore in itself!

Now that I have my chores schedule reset, time to make it fun📚🎮🏆 there is sooo many options thank you 😀

Hmmm... I can see where you are coming from, and I kind of like the idea, but I need to give a little more thought to the complexity.

As for your comment about challenges, achievements and challenges haven't really received any attention in this version and both really need a full overhaul. This has been a monster effort already... What you should look at, is periodic badges. There isn't any documentation yet, but you can do some very complex tracking of multiple chores and multiple kids with lots of different criteria. You can also awar rewards or bonus, additionally set penalties if they don't make the criteria. Pretty sure you could add all 3 kids and tell it to track all 3 chores and it would generally do what you want in that you can see who gets awarded the badge, and even do resets automatically so they can earn multiple time. More to come on that topic.

Per-Kid Applicable Days

Customize which days of the week each kid can complete a chore (Alice Mon-Wed, Bob Thu-Sun).

Requires: INDEPENDENT with 2+ kids (uses per-kid helper form)

Default Behavior: Blank = all days (recommended unless you need restrictions)

[!NOTE] > Platform Limitations: Some of these advanced features involve complex dynamic form generation that goes beyond Home Assistant's standard config flow architecture. As a result, some per-kid helper sections cannot be fully translated—the platform requires static translation keys, but kid-specific field names are generated dynamically. Main instructions and labels are translatable, but individual per-kid field sections display in English only.

How to Configure

1. Create INDEPENDENT chore with 2+ kids
2. Submit chore → Per-kid helper appears
3. For each kid, click applicable_days_KidName to expand day selector
4. Select specific days (or leave blank for all days)
5. Submit helper

Example: Split Week Schedule

Chore: "Feed Pets"
Completion: Independent
Frequency: Daily
Assigned: Alice, Bob

Per-Kid Days (in helper):
  - Alice: Mon, Tue, Wed
  - Bob: Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

Result:
  - Alice sees "Feed Pets" Mon-Wed only
  - Bob sees "Feed Pets" Thu-Sun only
  - Coverage all week, no overlap
