Notes companion rule

These notes clarify V44 only. The active canon remains V43 until V44 promotion.

Concise current-system reading

V43 made the commercial product paths legible:

  • /deposit creates reviewed, source-safe AssetPack supply options.
  • /read buys synthesized Need-Fit AssetPacks after review, settlement, and rights transfer.
  • /packs inspects pack activity, proof roots, settlement, delivery, compensation, and repair state.

V44 should now make those paths operable for scaled engineering economies: portfolio positions, demand signals, supply opportunities, budgets, quotes, approvals, BTC settlement, BTD rights, source-to-shares allocation, compensation statements, and repair cases must be visible as source-safe economic truth.

Simplified-spec reading rule

When V44 work becomes broad, reduce it to the economic law:

  1. Packs is portfolio, market intelligence, proof, and repair inspection.
  2. Read is budgeted procurement of source-bearing technical knowledge after Need review, Finding Fits, quote approval, BTC settlement, BTD rights transfer, and delivery.
  3. Deposit is supply creation and earning visibility over source-safe AssetPack options and admitted Depository supply.
  4. Statements must distinguish estimate, quote, observed payment, final settlement, contributor allocation, delivery, and repair state.
  5. Source is never disclosed before paid settlement and rights transfer.

V44 scaled economy note

The product now has the right route shape. V44 should make that route shape economically operable at enterprise scale. /packs should become the portfolio and market-intelligence surface; /read should support budgeted procurement and quote approval; /deposit should support earning visibility, supply opportunity intelligence, and contributor compensation readback.

Economic label precision

Every economic projection must say exactly what kind of value it is: estimate, quote, observed payment, final settlement, contributor allocation, delivery state, repair state, or statement. If the value has not settled on ledger, it is not ledger truth.

Governance note

Scaled Reading and Depositing require organization policy. V44 should bind roles, budgets, approval thresholds, wallet authority, source criticality, deposit limits, and spend limits without allowing any policy surface to bypass Need review, Finding Fits, settlement, rights transfer, delivery, or source-to-shares law.

Source-safety note

Market intelligence is useful only if it is safe. Unfit Need signals, demand signals, supply opportunities, portfolio positions, and compensation statements must remain metadata and proof roots. They must not serialize protected source, unpaid AssetPack source, raw prompts, raw provider responses, credentials, wallet private material, or private settlement payloads.

Promotion addendum note

V44 promotion includes a post-promotion addendum repairing stale source-of-truth hierarchy prose. BITCODE_SPEC.txt now points to V44; V44 is the active canon; V45 notes are discussion-prep material only. Promoted spec-family validation must fail closed when promoted source-of-truth hierarchy prose still says an older version is active, the promoted version is draft, or the promoted spec family is draft-only branch material.

Gate 1 note

Gate 1 is intentionally a posture gate. It opens the V44 family and validates that the repo now understands V43 active / V44 draft. It must not implement later economic products under a loose roadmap commit.

Gate 2 note

Gate 2 names the economic objects before later gates render or execute them. The package-backed receipt taxonomy distinguishes portfolio-position, market-signal, quote-state, settlement-state, compensation-statement, governance-decision, repair-case, budget-policy, supply-opportunity, and network-rehearsal receipts. Its value labels remain estimate, quote, observed payment, final settlement, contributor allocation, delivery, and repair state. This is intentionally source-safe: it carries identifiers, roots, states, and contracts, not protected source, unpaid AssetPack source, raw prompts, provider responses, credentials, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, or value-bearing mainnet admission.

Gate 4 note

Gate 4 makes /read budgeted without changing Reading law. The route can show budget envelope state, quote state, approval posture, buyer and wallet authority, deterministic measurement-weight-volume share-to-fee calculation, and settlement readiness blockers before purchase. It cannot reveal source or settlement private material, and it cannot treat a quote as final settlement. Payment observation, BTD rights transfer, delivery unlock, and contributor compensation remain later receipt-backed steps.

Gate 5 note

Gate 5 makes /deposit economically clearer without changing deposit law. The route can show likely demand, unfit Need opportunities, source criticality, ROI, estimate-only BTC compensation ranges, earning statements, and source-safe supply recommendations. It cannot mint BTD, execute compensation, disclose protected source, or treat estimated earning ranges as final settlement truth. Source-to-shares remains the future receipt-backed allocation method after a paid Need-Fit settlement selects admitted supply.

Gate 6 note

Gate 6 makes paid settlement accounting inspectable without changing settlement law. The settlement rights delivery boundary can now emit source-safe BTD/BTC compensation statements that distinguish BTD range state, BTC settlement observation, source-to-shares contributor allocations, depositor earning summaries, treasury routes, reconciliation state, and repair blockers. /packs can render those statements as accounting readback. It cannot disclose unpaid AssetPack source, raw source text, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, raw prompts, provider responses, or value-bearing mainnet authority.

Gate 7 note

Gate 7 makes organization policy enforceable and inspectable without changing protocol law. The route layer can show source-safe organization policy, approval state, wallet authority, spend limits, deposit limits, critical-source approval, required denials, and authority roots. BTD authority now covers deposit option synthesis, approval, and submission alongside Reading spend, source unlock, delivery, repair, and administration. /packs can render that policy as governance readback. It cannot disclose protected source, unpaid AssetPack source, raw prompts, provider responses, credentials, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, or value-bearing mainnet authority.

Gate 8 note

Gate 8 makes the already-implemented V44 economic state operable by enterprise users through enterprise product UX. The route layer can show dense source-safe economic summaries, keyboard navigation affordances, sticky activity tables, expandable proof roots, and responsive low-detail defaults that still expand into full metadata. /packs becomes the main economic operation table; /read shows quote, budget, settlement, and authority roots; /deposit shows option synthesis, policy, admission, earnings, and authority roots. It cannot expose protected source, raw source text, unpaid AssetPack source, raw prompts, provider responses, credentials, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, or value-bearing mainnet authority.

Gate 9 note

Gate 9 makes the scaled network rehearsal explicit and source-safe. The local lane proves the operator can rehearse the economic flow without external value movement; the staging-testnet lane proves the same flow is pinned to tkpyosihuouusyaxtbau, database stream readback, real-inference posture, and Vercel Sandbox harness readiness. The rehearsal covers many deposits, Reads, Fits, quotes, settlement observations, contributors, repair cases, and PackActivity rows through /deposit, /read, and /packs. It intentionally serializes only metadata, roots, counts, environment-family names, lane readiness, and source-safety verdicts. It cannot expose secrets, protected source, unpaid AssetPack source, prompt payloads, provider payloads, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, live rehearsal logs, or value-bearing mainnet authority.

Gate 10: V44 Promotion Readiness

Gate 10 makes V44 promotion explicit and source-safe. The promotion readiness report proves every V44 package artifact, generated .proofs artifact, workflow, script, PROVEN generator hook, test, and document clause is present before version/v44 can request canonical promotion into main. After promotion, the expected runtime posture is active V44 / draft V45. The report is metadata only and cannot expose credentials, protected source, unpaid AssetPack source, prompt payloads, provider payloads, wallet private material, private settlement payloads, live rehearsal logs, or value-bearing mainnet authority.

Gate 3 note

Gate 3 makes /packs the first scaled economic inspection surface. It keeps PackActivity as the source of truth but adds saved filters, portfolio position projections, organization views, demand signals, supply signals, unfit Need signals, settlement facets, compensation facets, delivery facets, repair facets, and proof-root drilldown. The route remains source-safe: generated and runtime projections are metadata, measurements, roots, and state labels only.
