"Another tunnel process is already running" error is a red herring.

This error occurs when trying to start SST tunnel, when in fact there is no tunnel process running. The network adapter sst is just left dangling for whatever reason.

Deleting that adapter and running sst tunnel again works fine.

Could the error be updated so that the next person who encounters this doesn't start looking for an "sst" process that doesn't actually exist?

do you mean that there was a tunnel process instead of an sst process?

what should the error message say in your opinion?

@vimtor I mean there is no actual tunnel or sst process running, what happened was the sst network adapter was leftover. Perhaps it could say something like "The sst network adapter already exists", or alternatively try to remove or re-use that adapter instead of ending with an error.
