Losing autofocus after wake from sleep

I have focus_follows_mouse = autofocus and really like this behavior. It works good for me for the most part, except that it is gone after waking my computer from sleep. Restarting yabai fixes, but I lose all my window sizes and positions.

I am running yabai 7.1.23 on Tahoe, and I am not able to disable SIP (so, no scripting addition).

You can just run yabai -m config focus_follows_mouse autofocus again instead of restarting yabai. I think the problem is fixed on master #2217

to automate the fix for now, try adding this to your config file:
yabai -m signal --add event='system_woke' action='yabai -m config focus_follows_mouse autofocus'

The change from #2217 was released in v7.1.24. Can you maybe confirm if this fixes your issue? I have not been able to reproduce the problem myself, but then again, macOS sleep is kinda finicky and it could depend on how long the sleep is, how many external monitors are connected, or even depending on which applications are open.

Otherwise the mentioned workaround is probably the best solution.
