- Text for Translation: The extension processes the text you select or input only to perform the translation.
- User Configuration Settings: We store your preferences, such as your chosen translation service (e.g., MyMemory, Google Translate, DeepL) and your default source and target languages. This information is stored locally in your browser.
- API Keys: If you choose to use premium services like Google Translate or DeepL, you may provide API keys. These keys are stored exclusively on your local browser and are never transmitted to our servers or any other third party, except to the respective service (Google or DeepL) to authenticate your requests.
The information we collect is used solely to provide and improve the core functionality of the Extension.
- Text for Translation: The text you provide is sent directly from your browser to the third-party translation API you have selected. For short text, an optional proxy may be used strictly for routing; it does not store content.
- Configuration Settings & API Keys: These are used to customize your experience and to authenticate your requests with the chosen translation service.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. However, to perform translations, we must share the text you want to translate with the third-party service you have selected.

You have full control over your data within the Extension.
- API Keys: You can add, update, or remove your API keys at any time from the "APIs" tab in the Extension's popup.
- Uninstalling the Extension: If you choose to uninstall the Extension, all data stored locally—such as your settings and API keys—will be permanently deleted from your browser.
We are committed to protecting your information. All data stored by the Extension is kept locally on your computer using the browser's standard storage mechanisms. We do not have access to this data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy and updating the "Last Updated" date.
