Support customized stopping criterion

Hi there! Kind of a hopeless question since I think the answer is no, but I'll ask just in case.

Would it be possible to integrate a custom stopping criterion, similar to how callbacks are supported in the library mode of NOMAD?

I suspect the answer is no, precisely because NOMAD.jl seems to be an interface to the batch mode of NOMAD but... there's no harm to ask I guess!

Hey @sblelong The answer is no, because NOMAD.jl calls the NOMAD C API (rather than the batch mode), which does not support callbacks. To integrate them, you would need to add dedicated C API functions and working examples, which could be included in the next NOMAD.jl release.

Hello @sblelong, yes it would possible to support of customized stopping criterion but someone need to add this feature in the C interface of NOMAD such we can use it here in the Julia interface.

Hi @salomonl and @amontoison , thanks for your answers. I did not know this implementation relied on a specific API, I thought it was based on the batch mode of NOMAD.

Adding this support within the API is not something I could do myself, but I'll bring that up to the NOMAD team.
