The idea was to build something using flaks that runs locally, pretty much what i had for steem. The reason i didnt go forward with it is that i dont want to create more code that ultimately ends up unmaintained. Hence uptick is kept simple on purpose.
If we can find python devs willing to work on a UI (maybe even QT) then i am happe to get it integrated into uptick
