Black wallpaper after PC returns from sleep

After returning from sleep, the wallpaper is black

Works fine until the PC sleeps and comes back, i'm on Xorg and using latest NVIDIA drivers with nouveau blacklisted

I'm having the same issue on Endevour OS running KDE and Wayland.

Same for me on X11, latest KDE & Qt, Arch, Nvidia.
It works again if I go to the wallpaper settings, pick solid color, hit apply, then select this plugin, then hit apply. Or reboot works as well. Perhaps something needs to be re-initiated after system sleep.
