Radix-Leptos v0.8.5 - Leptos 0.8.8 Compatibility Release

🎯 Critical Compatibility Release

This patch release resolves 4 critical compilation errors that prevented radix-leptos 0.8.4 from working with Leptos 0.8.8. This release ensures full compatibility with the latest Leptos version while maintaining complete backward compatibility.

This release resolves 4 critical compilation errors that prevented radix-leptos 0.8.4 from working with Leptos 0.8.8.

  1. ReadSignal<bool>: IntoAttributeValue Trait Bound Error

    • Location: dark_mode.rs:253
    • Fix: Changed checked=isdark to checked=move || isdark.get()
    • Impact: Dark mode toggle now works with Leptos 0.8.8

  2. disabled Method Trait Bounds Error

    • Location: dark_mode.rs:254
    • Fix: Changed disabled=disabled to disabled=move || disabled
    • Impact: Disabled state handling now compatible

  3. ReadSignal<...>: IntoProperty Trait Bound Error

    • Location: theme_provider.rs:240
    • Fix: Changed prop:value=selected_theme to prop:value=move || selected_theme.get()
    • Impact: Theme selector now works with Leptos 0.8.8

  4. on Method Trait Bounds Error

    • Location: theme_provider.rs:241
    • Fix: Resolved automatically after fixing issue #3
    • Impact: Event handling now compatible

Breaking Changes in Leptos 0.8.8

Leptos 0.8.8 introduced stricter type checking for reactive attributes:

  • ReadSignal<T> no longer automatically implements IntoAttributeValue
  • All reactive attributes must use closure syntax: move || signal.get()
  • Direct signal usage in attributes is no longer allowed

Updated all signal usage to use the correct Leptos 0.8.8 patterns:
