My family often goes in on bigger purchases together. For example, if a gift is $400, we might have 4 people each put in $100, but that takes a lot of coordinating outside of wishlist. My hope would be a way to "partially claim" a gift and offer a dollar amount you want to put in.

Either a submenu of claim or a separate button called "Partial Claim" that enables a text box for a dollar amount. That way, when looking through a list you can see if a gift was already partially claimed and you could partially claim it with someone else.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Maybe instead of a dollar amount, you just click partial claim. This keeps it on the list as unclaimed, but tells others that you would be willing to split the gift.
