Description

Oksskolten is an AI-native RSS reader built on Node.js 22 + Fastify + React. Unlike Miniflux/FreshRSS which require opt-in per-feed full-text extraction

Why should this be added?

Proxmox users running self-hosted services in LXCs currently manage Oksskolten manually (git clone + Node.js build + systemd unit) or via generic Docker setups. This replaces a ~15-step manual deployment with a single bash -c "$(curl ...) call, consistent with how other RSS readers (Miniflux, FreshRSS) are distributed in the repo.

Installation Notes

Port: 3000/tcp (web)
Database: SQLite (embedded, no external DB required)
Optional services: Meilisearch (port 7700) for full-text search; FlareSolverr (port 8191) for bot-protected sites; RSS Bridge for sites without RSS feeds
Dependencies: Node.js 22.x, npm
Install modes: git clone and npm ci --omit=dev && npm run build && npx tsc -p server/tsconfig.build.json
Data directory: /opt/oksskolten/data (SQLite db + blobs)
Environment: .env with DATA_DIR, JWT_SECRET, optional MEILI_URL
Resources: 2 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB disk (lightweight for personal use; Meilisearch adds ~300 MB RAM)
