LXC package update unattended mode with parameter possible?

Would it be possible to run the update command inside a lxc optionally in an unattended mode. This would be very helpful for automated updates from ansible e.g.

Thats a LXC OS update script. It doesn't update the actual app inside the container.

No, this is not possible to automate.

It would be possible if the UI part was only called if not all (default) configuration parameters are set.
Currently, it opens even if that is the case.
Alternatively an addional parameter "UNATTENDED=yes|no" could be passed.
If this parameter is yes, no UI.

Yes, we know it is doable. We just dont want to deal with the issues that will come with that.

I could implement it and create a patch request.

It could be restricted to a few applications in the beginning ( homeassistant, mqtt ,nodered, MySQL)

It would require an optional command line parameter to specify the settings file.

it’s also possible to add a post installation script to create user/credentials…

It can be developed in a separate branch for beta testing. If there are too many issues, the branch will be dropped.

Is this an option?
