After updating, openobserve fails to start and if run manually the following error.

/opt/openobserve/openobserve: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version GLIBC_2.38' not found (required by /opt/openobserve/openobserve) /opt/openobserve/openobserve: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version GLIBC_2.39' not found (required by /opt/openobserve/openobserve)

Update to the latest version of openobserve

You need to upgrade to Debian 13 by yourself

Ive tested it with debian 12 -> 13.
Work absolutly fine.

i think its an error in your upgrade.

sed -i 's/bookworm/trixie/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
sed -i 's/bookworm/trixie/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* 2>/dev/null || true
apt update
apt full-upgrade -y
apt autoremove -y
reboot

if you encounter in issues, backup your data and recreate the lxc with newer install
