Change components size

I don't see the option to adjust the size of the text input, the sidebars or even the font size. I can zoom in but this make everything bigger and the text input takes away a huge portion of the screen. It would be really nice if I could:

1. change the font size without changing the rest of the components. Currently you can only change the font size of the terminal
2. adjust the size of the text input. I feel that it's unnecessary big. The initial hight could be easily half of how it's today.
3. the sidebar with the terminal can't be adjusted as the other sidebar. It has a min width
