I waited for nearly an hour and a half and now I just realized that the reason it didn't boot was because I set the ram size wrong.

I seen NX-BIT errors in console on windows 10 isos, but not when I use windows 8 build 8148 isos even though it still freezes on the boot screen. It kind of looks like NX-BIT isn't the reason why some builds after 8133 doesn't boot but I could be wrong.

Yes, that is not why. I patched v86 to have NX-BIT and tried to boot the official Windows 8 ISO, and it didn't work still

easiest way is to download my disk image file, because it's already installed. you can select it in a v86 custom profile with 2048mb ram and 128mb vram.

According to betawiki, 8318 should work

It is the last available build to support x86 processors that lack the Physical Address Extension, the NX/XD bit and the SSE2 instruction set.

The consumer preview was 8250 but obviously they used different compiler options between builds so it might not work, but if it does, it will be the closest-looking thing we can get.

Besides, 8318 looks like it only is available in a partially-broken image dump from a tablet, so it might not even work.

I might try later if I get the chance.

There was an ISO name Windows-7-ULTMATE-rp834hded9nx9d.iso and I tested it in v86. Surprisingly, it worked

there's a reason i have picked 8133. it is the last build with a full dump that will install fine without tweaks, as i'm not going to mod iso files.
