I couldn't find the location of the download file in the source. Could this be clarified, or possibly made into a configuration option?

How can new maps be created?

The mappack uses the Google Play 'expansion files' infrastructure to download the vector maps, so there is no explicitly configurable download location.

We put the map data in the main file and a bit of metadata in the patch file.

OSM data can be packaged in Mapsforge format using the scripts at https://github.com/cyclestreets/android-mappacks/tree/master/mapfile-processor

We have an offer of hosting now so would be good to ramp this up, in particular:

1. Regular updates;
2. More areas;

and eventually

3. A more seamless way of downloading these from within the app.
