I'm making a device based on yours. The normal behavior i'm noticing is that if the Arduino is powered from usb and i plug the battery, then everything works. If i remove usb power and remove/plug the battery, it works.
If the battery is left disconnected for a few more minutes, then i plug it and the Arduino is not powered. It's like the battery goes to sleep, refusing to provide power. This is confirmed here #1 (comment)
As far as I understand, the battery sleeps itself, and when you press the button on the drone or the triple charger, it wakes it up
So, is there anything you can do to get power to the battery without having to plug it in an already powered device first? This defeats the purpose of having this as an easy way to quickly check the battery status on the field.
