Thanks for running the wizard. Unfortunately this run didn't capture anything usable — and part of that is on the app, not on you.

1. The capture found nothing. changed_rows=0 — no setting differed between your two captures, in secure, global, or system. Without at least one key that moves, there's nothing to map.

2. The report doesn't say what feature you switched. feature_name=unspecified, rom_version=unspecified, and the two modes are named max perf and full. 0.2.1-beta0 still let you finish the wizard with those fields blank and with an empty capture; both are fixed on main (#36) — the next beta requires the device-context fields and refuses to build a report that carries no setting.

What I need first

"max perf" doesn't read like a charge-protection mode. Amply is looking for the setting that caps or pauses charging — on MagicOS that's usually under Settings → Battery (possibly behind "More battery settings"), named something like Smart charging mode / Battery health / Battery care.

• What is that feature called on your phone, and what exact options does it offer?
• A screenshot of that battery settings screen would answer it completely.

If what you toggled was a performance or charging-speed option rather than a charge limit, that alone explains both the zero differences and the "started charging" effect.

If the feature does exist, a re-run may well work

Order matters:

1. Set mode A in HONOR's own settings, wait until HONOR's screen shows the new state, then capture it in Amply.
2. Switch to mode B in HONOR's settings, wait again, then capture.

A capture taken before the ROM has applied the change is identical to the previous one, which produces exactly the empty result you got.

If you have adb available

This is the same check outside the wizard, and it additionally covers system properties, which Amply does not scan:

Feel free to strip anything you'd rather not post — the diff will also contain unrelated noise like battery level and timestamps.

Where this leaves the device

There is no HONOR adapter in Amply today, so adapter=none is expected rather than a bug — the Magic8 Lite is diagnostics-only regardless. Huawei/HONOR ROMs also have a history of keeping this kind of setting outside the AOSP settings providers entirely. If a careful re-run still shows zero differences, that's a genuine (if unsatisfying) finding and I'd note it as such.

No obligation to chase this further — but the feature name and a screenshot on their own are already worth having.
