Equivalent ICs that worked (for me)... #8

Description

@giobbino

Hi,
I just wish to leave some more info for the future builders...

NOTE: MY VERSION IS PAL (6561-101 and 4.433618 Mhz crystal) - some components listed here could not work in the NTSC version.

This is the logic glue I tested. What is not listed here is because I didn't test since I haven't different IC version in my tool box (74LS133, 74LS04 and 7406).

74ALS32 --> 74HC32; 74LS32
74LS245 --> 74HCT245
74LS138 --> 74HCT138
74LS02 --> 74HCT02
7402 --> 74LS02 (but not 74HCT02)
74LS00 --> 74HCT00

I also verified that original MOS 6502 and MOS 6522 work too.

More: I tested those "fake MOS" 6502 that you can find for a couple of bucks or less on Aliexpress: they work too!

Actually those 6502 aren't fake 6502, just the "MOS" label is. They work; sometimes in a bunch of five or ten you can find one that doesn't, but usually they're all ok. I suppose they're 6502 that come from some bad lot; they sanded the original label and wrote another one... so it could happen that after few days/months or in a specific configuration can hang... but it's just what I'm guessing; I've not did an extensive test yet.
