Using a blue retro Atari Dongle (i know and dislike bitfunx, but didnt find an alternative) looking to get spinner function on classic VCS wireless working on og hardware

Hi all,
My goal was to use the new Classic VCS wireless controllers on the original 2600/7800 Atari hardware. One of the feature of the new classic controller is the spinning function of the joystick so it could be both the paddle and the joystick. My hope is to get this spinning feature reconized. So I tried originally using the 8bitDo sega BT adapter in tandum with the retrobit mega 7800 adapters to flip the pin for use with sega controllers. I dont think it's compatible with the version of bluetooth on the new vcs classic controllers though. I have been using the sega retrobit 2.4 dongle and controller with the 2600 using those same mega 7800 adpater without issue but really want to get the vcs ones working. So i found bitfunx made some specific atari bT adapters that utilize the BlueRetro framework. I updated them to the most current firmware and got them to sync with the vcs classic controllers but the spinner feature isnt reconized. was hopeing to find a way to get this to register as a paddle when using paddle based games, but it just doesnt function. Any ideas?

The paddle is an analog controller that use a POT. BlueRetro is purely digital and can't support this.

This would require adding a digital pot circuit to emulate the analog one.

BlueRetro doesn't have support for this type of HW.
As such none of the BlueRetro you can currently buy can ever have this feature since they lack the HW to support it.

I'll probably add support for digital POT one day, but this is going to require new HW designed to support it.

Appreciate the response. Id love you to keep me in the loop if and when you do look into a digital POT. Having the one controller do both paddles and joystick would just be amazing. Love your work and thanks again.
