Failed deployment to App Platform fails silently

In app platform set the source to a certain branch i.e. main

Set up a GitHub action with a manual trigger, select a different branch i.e. 1440-staging-deployment-issue

Expectation: deploy job to fail on account of a mismatch of the source branch set in App Platform

Actual: Job passes
