Hi, the problem with the pellets is related to the software version of the compacts, you have to update the compact to 4.02ap

Sowas werde ich natürlich supporten (donate).
Ich bin seit 2 Tagen glücklicher Besitzer einer Ökofen Pellematic Compact (14 KW).
Ich konnte die Anlage mit dem Addon auch super einbinden und erhalte soweit alle Werte, ausgenommen die verbrauchten Pellets (heute, gestern etc.).
Muss ich dafür einen zusätzlichen Sensor haben oder liegt es daran dass die Anlage "nur" den Softwarestand 4.0b.hat?
Des Weiteren ist mir noch unklar wie ich den Wert "Pellet Storage Level" auf den tatsächlichen Füllwert stellen kann. Oder liegt dies auch an dem Sensor?

No, unfortunately no, you have to download the update onto a USB stick and run the update, version 4.0 is not stable at all as it is the first version of a new release with all the problems that follow.
I sent Dominik all the data, I don't know, he can send you everything in the private email.

@lucaferrucci I am looking for the original ÖkoFEN Touch firmware V4.02b for my installation. My equipment is: Boiler: ÖkoFEN PES15 I would like to update the CAD Touch 1 from V4.00b to V4.02b, while keeping the CMP021 firmware at V4.02b. I found references to the original file update_oekofen-402b.exe, but the original download link is no longer available. Could you please provide me with the original V4.02b firmware/update package for the CAD Touch 1, preferably as a ZIP file suitable for USB installation? If there are different V4.02b packages depending on the Touch hardware revision, please let me know which one is compatible with the hardware information above. I would also appreciate the official USB update procedure and, if available, the required USB folder/file structure. Thank you very much for your help. Best regards, J.C. |

@Macintras For me, it was enough to set the initial filling once (Ökofen Touch-Panel / system). After that, the consumption is automatically deducted. See picture. I do not have sensors in the fabric tank. It is best to let the heating installer do the update. Of course I can forward you the german instruction papers and update details I received from @lucaferrucci. As @lucaferrucci (Ökofen Pro 😉) said, if the other sensors work (values available in HA), then it is related to the old software version.

Hello Dominik. I wanted to set the initial filling within the Ökofen UI (V. 4.02b). But I am desperately trying to find where this is possible. I was hoping you could give a short hint (I dont have a system area)? Thanks :-) |

Hi, thank you for this great integration. I have a OKOFEN Pellematic Compact 12 kW with a pellet tank and an aspiration system. There is no weight sensor and apparently there is no (functioning ?)sensor at all that could allow me to estimate the consumption. The software version is 4.00b, I tried to update OTA, but it is not working, should I update to 4.02ap via USB ? Is it possible that my Pellematic does not have any weight sensor ? |

you have the same problem as me. Dominik & Luca sent me the changelog, only with 4.01 was it even possible to adjust the filling quantity of the pellet tank. According to the documentation, since 4.02 only the consumption display (today / yesterday) and the subtraction from the set delivery quantity have worked, and you do not need a separate sensor in the pellet store. |

hello, version 4.01 has a baug and forgets the consumption of the previous day, then to increase the accuracy of the warehouse it waits for the intermediate tank to be empty to always suck up 31kg of pellets, it uses the 2 zwb sensors of the tank, the vacuum and the full.

OK, so it means that with newer software version the intermediate tank is no longer filled at a configured hour ? Sounds good. For now there is no available update via the touch interface. I also did not find any download page on the website. 4.01 and 4.02 are private alpha/beta releases ? |

All versions are installed via USB, it is not possible to install via OTA.
The download area is accessible to technicians, if you think you are able to carry out the update independently I can send you the data.

But you could simply write down the settings and re-enter them. It depends on your familiarity. I don't remember if you can save the settings in version 2, but there's no guarantee the new version will read the file. |

So there are a few settings you need to save, I would try it, it's not that complex, some time ago in this discussion I uploaded the settings manual in PDF, don't be afraid it can be done without problems |

If you update to 4.02 the problem is solved, calculate the exact consumption.
They added the calibration function that done once a year, the system becomes quite accurate.
However don't be afraid to run the update, the operation is quite simple, the precaution is to have an empty usb stick, insert it, save all the settings and then update with the new firmware stick, you won't even need to load the settings saved on the first flash drive.
To be even more sure, just take a picture of all the settings with your PC or phone and proceed.
If you do the operation in the summer to see how it works do you have to wait for the cold again? 😆😆

Hello everyone, I finally installed version 4.02a_P yesterday. Now the configuration and optimization can finally start :). @dominikamann I requested the update via the service (see mail I sent you), the update was installed yesterday by a technician. Yesterday I set and calibrated the filling tank to ZWB. It is currently still on the "calibrate" function. It will probably take 24 hours to calibrate, right? But I haven't found a way to set the maximum capacity of the filling tank, which is currently 6,000kg, but I "only" have 4,200kg. Is there a way where I can change that? @lucaferrucci I'll get in touch the days with the desired data for optimization, thanks again for the offer! Otherwise, next week I will devote myself to visualizing the data in a chic dashboard. At this point I can recommend an interesting smart clock called Ulanzi, where you can install ESPHome and integrate it into HA. Inspiring status messages from the Pellematic can be displayed on it ;-). |

if you followed the technician who did the update in the future you can do it yourself, it's quite simple.
for the warehouse capacity you have to do it from the boiler touch screen, it does not change the maximum volume via the web.
For optimisation, no problem, you need to give me a description of your system and its distribution in your home, I'll gladly help you without any problems.

Well, anyway, there are tons of indices here and there that make it fairly easy to spot who I am, where I live, and so on, just in case your boiler suddenly starts heating your house at 30°C all time long...;-). |

The intermediate tank never empties because it runs suction at least once per hour when in ZWB Calibration mode. With ZWB disabled then I only get suction once per day at the scheduled time. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere to disable the hourly suction? |

I take this opportunity to ask you if anyone has managed to create the sensor to use thermostats from homeassistant, now in the sensors we see the temperature and the status in separate sensors so it is not possible to use the hvacs function and create the sensors, has anyone tried? |

if you set it to "off" how does it behave? for example I set it to 9 in the morning, only one aspiration |
Which setting should I set to "off"? If pellet usage mode is set to ZWB then I get a brief suction once per hour (roughly) PLUS a longer suction at the scheduled time. |

there is definitely something wrong, the boiler tank has 2 sensors, the full one and the empty one, I would not want the empty sensor to send an incorrect signal and trigger the loading, if I remember correctly the sensor has a light on the back, which if it detects the presence of pellets is on yellow, otherwise it is off, but the suction every hour is the first time I hear it. |

Well, things are similar, but also different. This time when I enabled ZWB mode it didn't switch into calibration mode.... maybe because I activated it using the web app instead of on the touch panel on the boiler itself? Previously I always used the touch panel, and it always asked me if I wanted to start calibration. However it still seems to be running suction every hour again. 
I extracted out the times over the last week that it has run suction. The ones marked in red are after I enabled ZWB. Green is with ZWB disabled. 
Also, does anyone know how big the hopper tank in a PES32 actually is? |

i have a hybrid with the compact 10kw and the greenfox 9/14. it´s probably not compatible with most of your heaters |

this could be the problem, beta version is always a bit risky, something later is already available, but I don't have the release note to know if they considered and solved your problem |

the software is unique for all models, it does not depend on the model but on the version itself, they have been working on the pellet calculation for a long time, in fact I was a supporter of the tank weighing system, the most reliable thing, unfortunately it is no longer there |

@lucaferrucci It's for a Pellematic PES32. I'm currently on Touch v4.04b firmware and it's permanently stuck in calibration mode if I enable ZWB, so hoping they might have fixed that since. Thanks! |

Version 5.02 has also been released but they tell me that it only affects the greenfox and not the pellematic, I will try to install it and I will update you |

Hello Everyone, I have a Pellematic Compact 18KW (PES 218) with the pellematic touch installed in 2020 in the house i just bought. My firmware version is 4.02b, i linked it to the pellematic app and in to my HA. Works fine but i dont have any information of my pellet consumption. I tried to understand what it was said before but nothing clear the situation... Is there anyone can help me to fix this ? Btw il have a 4 Tons Flexilo storage for the pellet. Thanks ! |

The code is your current hour plus the current day. So at 16.02.2026 12:30 it should have been 1216, it always changes according to your current time(hour) and day, beware I think you have to use the 12hour time i.e. 19 would be 07 but just try both. |

I use 24h time and it works. Just use the two red marked parts (remember it changes every hour and day) |

Read the manual. It‘s long and a bunch is completly useless but there are some good parts in there. |
