Wallet Disconnect, Stale Session, and Reconnect Flows - Design Specification

Summary

This PR delivers comprehensive design specifications for wallet disconnect, stale session, and reconnect flows in Fluxora-Frontend. These flows are critical for maintaining user trust and ensuring smooth interaction with Stellar wallet infrastructure.

Problem

Fluxora lacked clear user-facing flows for wallet state management:

  • No intentional disconnect confirmation flow
  • Limited stale session detection and handling
  • Missing reconnect persistence for user context
  • Inconsistent error messaging across wallet states
  • No accessibility specifications for wallet flows

Solution

1. Comprehensive Design Specification

Created WALLET_FLOWS_DESIGN_SPEC.md with:

  • User goals and success metrics for wallet flows
  • Detailed specifications for disconnect, stale session, and reconnect flows
  • Component state definitions and transition patterns
  • Error handling and recovery strategies
  • Performance and cross-platform requirements

2. Implementation-Ready Component Specs

Delivered WALLET_FLOWS_COMPONENT_SPECS.md with:

  • Complete TypeScript interfaces and component templates
  • CSS module specifications using existing Fluxora design tokens
  • Integration guide for wallet context extensions
  • Testing strategies and performance considerations
  • File structure and naming conventions

3. Accessibility Compliance Documentation

Provided WALLET_FLOWS_ACCESSIBILITY_GUIDE.md featuring:

  • WCAG 2.1 AA compliance checklist
  • Screen reader support requirements (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Keyboard navigation specifications
  • Focus management and ARIA implementation patterns
  • Testing procedures and monitoring guidelines

4. User Testing Protocol

Created WALLET_FLOWS_USER_TESTING_PROTOCOL.md with:

  • Participant recruitment criteria for diverse user groups
  • Detailed testing scenarios covering all wallet flows
  • Data collection and analysis framework
  • Accessibility-specific testing methodology
  • Continuous testing plan and tools

Key Design Features

Disconnect Flow

  • Confirmation Modal: Clear explanation of consequences with cancellation option
  • Context Preservation: Maintain user context across disconnection cycles
  • Success Feedback: Toast notifications and navbar state updates

Stale Session Handling

  • Progressive Enhancement: Multiple recovery levels from passive to active
  • Auto-Reconnect: Configurable automatic reconnection with user override
  • Clear Communication: Non-blocking banners and modal interventions

Reconnect Flow

  • Smart Reconnection: Previous wallet provider detection and selection
  • Progress Tracking: Multi-step progress indication with status updates
  • State Restoration: Complete functionality recovery with context preservation

Accessibility First

  • WCAG 2.1 AA Compliance: Full accessibility compliance throughout
  • Screen Reader Support: Comprehensive ARIA implementation
  • Keyboard Navigation: Complete keyboard-only operation
  • Visual Accessibility: High contrast, text scaling, reduced motion support
