RailsStarter

Version: 0.1 Date: June 2025 Status: In Development

Executive Summary

RailsStarter is a Rails application create a new Rails project.

Project Status

RailsStarter is currently in the foundation phase, with a complete authentication system and modern Rails application infrastructure. The application provides a secure, tested foundation for future integration and features.

Implemented Features

User Authentication & Management

  • User Registration - Email-based account creation with validation
  • Secure Authentication - Session-based login with BCrypt password hashing
  • Password Reset - Email-based password reset functionality
  • User Profiles - Profile management with Gravatar integration and avatar fallbacks
  • Dashboard Access - Protected dashboard for authenticated users

Application Infrastructure

  • Modern Rails Stack - Rails 8.1.0 with Solid libraries (Cache, Queue, Cable)
  • Component Architecture - ViewComponent-based UI system with reusable components
