With chargers with mA, control, less than what you observe is expected. With chargers with only full A control, I think it can go up to 690 or 790 on 3p and 230 or 330 on 1p in worst case. Note there is a PR to avoid this completely, see #28178 |

Hi,
I have a question about Battery Boost.
I understand that drawing some power from the grid is normal and expected while Battery Boost is active. Roughly how much grid draw should I expect? I tested it today, and the system stabilized at around 400–500 W imported from the grid. Is that within the expected range?
If it's relevant, I've attached the logs: evcc-battery-boost-debug.log
Also, I'd like to better understand how Battery Boost works internally. Is the boost power limited by the inverter's maximum AC output, the battery's configured maximum discharge power, or does evcc simply regulate based on the measured grid import?
