Update: I tried using the Min+Solar option and then EVCC had no issue to start the Zaptec charger to charge on 1.4kW just on solar. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t on the Solar only setting.

Btw, there is an open issue for Zaptec, see [#32565](#32565)

I do see a difference: on the solar setting evcc will only initiate charging if there is sufficient surplus solar power. On the min+solar setting evcc will start charging regardless if there is sufficient surplus solar power and continues charging from the grid once there is no surplus solar power.
Apparently my max surplus solar power of around 2.5kW is insufficient to initiate a charging session just on solar. I’m more than happy to use the min+solar setting. Just want to better understand what the threshold is for just solar.

There is absolutely no difference between them, except that when you connect your vehicle on min+solar, it starts charging immediately. Some vehicles don't like when the charger doesn't offer power on connect. Not sure if that's the case for you, but there is a feature called welcomecharge in evcc to circumvent.

Uh oh!

I have set my Zaptec Go 2 charger to solar charging only. The minimal wattage for 1-phase charging is 1.4kWh. Currently I have excess solar power from my panels of 2.3 kWh for over 2 hours. Still the charger won't start charging. See attached screen shots for more detail. Can someone help me understand why the charging session won't start?
