  • How to configure environment within Web.config for IIS?

    • Set the related value of ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT property in Project.user.csproj so the relevant Web.config file will be available in build.

      • <ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT>Production</ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT>
      • <ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT>Development</ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT>
    • Change the content of Web.Production.config and Web.Development.config according to your needs.

    • Note that ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT property is not available to properties in .csproj file because csproj.user is imported after .csproj file. So, it is available to items and targets.
