Request: option to share a folder through sldl

Hi, great tool first of all.

It would be great if there's an option to share a folder on soulseek. many users require sharing to be able to download from them. Unfortunately you can't run the same account on two seperate slsk clients simultaneously.

Provided I understand everything correctly and it really does what it says, it should effectively tell every peer that you're sharing 50 folders and 1000 files (even if you aren't actually sharing anything). I haven't tested it though.

Did you actually confirm that the minimum share count limits prevent you from downloading?

P.S.: In a way, we're cheating. My hope is that most people who are aware of this tool are already using a standard soulseek client (and hence probably sharing files). Given that you have to specifically search for Soulseek downloaders to find it and it requires command line knowledge, this seems like a fair assumption.

Perhaps it is fair for us to assume that, but the problem is that the peers can't see that the random sessions created by your program are linked with a real user, because the IP addresses are not usually displayed within their interface. To them it just looks way too much like automated bot activity which is the reason why they are very likely to ban your users.

This request is a valid one so, whilst it would be a large and complex feature to implement, I think it would be a worthy goal for your project to achieve by implementing the OP's requested feature to share a folder through sldl.

I'll keep it open, but unfortunately I don't think I will have the time to implement it any time soon.

Your GUI frontend developer has now implemented file sharing see markst/slsk-batchdl-gui#9 . It would be a good idea for that feature, or perhaps that entire project, be pulled into this repo, otherwise the maintenance of custom partial client implementations may become overly complex.

I agree now that there are good reasons why it should be turned into a full client eventually. Sockseek could also implement some interesting features not available in other clients (some ideas were discussed here). Version 3.0.0 brings us one step closer, though there is still a long way to go before it can be implemented cleanly.
