VS Code not able to switch to org after successful authenticated from "Authorized an org" action. #7348

Summary

In VSCODE, i have uninstall all the salesforce expansion pack extensions, and then proceed to close, open vscode backup.

  1. proceed to create a new project manifest
  2. proceed to download all the extension
  3. proceed to set the java path in preference --> settings
  4. close and open vscode again
  5. proceed to ctrl + alt P, authenticate an org, browser open, proceed to key in username password and login
  6. login success

checked the bottom left section, by right, SHOULD show my org name i.e. FDRv2. but its still showing "No Default Org Set"

Expected result

showing FDRv2 as the connected org

Actual result

still showing "No Default Org Set"
