Thanks for raising this question, @wugalde19. We don't have anything quite like that in the system, no, so you'll have to do some work to build this out, I think. That said, you might have some luck using the FJC's Integrated Database. It is released quarterly, so the speed isn't great, but I believe the civil data has a field for whether something is a class action, and I even think they have a field for whether it settled. So that won't solve your immediate goal, but I think it could help you find cases to serve as examples, which I'm hoping is half of the battle solved. Sorry we don't have something better! |

Hi there. Our team would like to add a section to our site that will allow users to get class action lawsuits. As part of it, we would like to offer the filter to let them get the ones that have reached the Settlement phase only. Looking at the API documentation, we couldn't find a way to get those other than by processing all the dockets and checking for specific keywords.
So we would like to know if there is a way to get those lawsuits in an easier way (through the API), or if something like this has to be built in order to support something like this.
We would really appreciate your help on this.
