ESLint+Prettier vs Biome

I want to replace ESLint+Prettier with Biome.

Pros:

• Much faster to run: 400ms vs 40s.
• Less dependencies to worry: 120 packages is going to be removed from the project.
• Single configuration for all packages in the project: can be single run from root or in any subdirectory.
• Works with Trunk Check then is a part of all other linters run: we can remove extra GitHub workflow.

Cons:

• Reformats all files in the project but this is single time only.
• Does not format YAML files but we can use yamlfmt which is better for our needs (separate format style for Kubernetes resources and for the rest of YAML files)
• Much less number of rules (maybe there are not so important?)

Additional numbers:

With ESLint:

$ pnpm i
Packages: +1556
$ time pnpm lint
111,25s user 12,44s system 301% cpu 41,011 total
$ time pnpm --parallel lint
121,14s user 17,33s system 403% cpu 34,357 total

With Biome:

$ pnpm i
Packages: +1428
$ pnpm lint
Checked 3343 files in 392ms. No fixes applied.
$ trunk check -a --filter biome 
6939/6939  5.3s
