PRG File Parameters

I'm curious what makes a .PRG file not work with the 2350? For instance, I would like this SID as an example of a really difficult to play SID. However, no version of it will play when called from the 2350 memory.

I've tried the .PRG files from here and also converting the SIDs to PRG with PSID64. All fail to run. My guess is the file is too big and overwrites the magic that lets PRGs work. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just tried that one (patched into firmware) and it works, so the launcher is fine (it can load 51200 bytes). Have you uploaded it from disk?

Wonder what I'm doing wrong. I have not loaded it from disk yet. But I did just download from the link above and it didn't work. Did you have it as the only one?

Tried another C64 revision and still doesn't want to work. I am patching like you.

hm, not sure if these '_' characters cause problems. I gave the file a shorter and simpler filename

Nevermind. I tried 3 C64 boards and none work (similar error). Tried WinVICE and it didn't work (also similar error). Reconfigured WinVICE for PAL and it worked. Guess it can't run at all on NTSC. Good to know it works on your machine! Thanks for checking!

Ah! Right, these programs don't run on NTSC machines.
