As found out by @pmauduit, geonetwork does not handle correctly the user session for search engine crawlers, which usually results in a very bad page rank for geonetwork dataset pages.
The following property, when added to <georchestra_datadir>/geonetwork/geonetwork.properties, allows search engines to crawl the catalog:
It should probably be added by default to the geOrchestra datadir with a appropriate comment.
