Handoff

Objective

Hand off the codex/full-autonomous-live-pilot-v1 branch for continuation without losing the verified V1 state. The branch implements the repo-side V1 autonomous pilot surface, but real-money live trading remains blocked by external market-data and broker-readiness gates.

Status

  • Handoff status: partial.
  • Repo-side V1 implementation: ready for review and continuation.
  • Live-production readiness: blocked by external broker/data gates.
  • Continuation mode: swarm_required for any live-production push, because data, broker, backend, frontend, and verification work can run in parallel but must merge through one safety gate.

partial is intentional. The code evidence supports the local V1 loop through fail-closed live preflight, but it does not prove fresh live alpha or real Toss order readiness.

Completed Work

  • Whole-system V1 operator status was implemented and pushed in commit 04380c1 feat(v1-pilot): add whole-system operator status.
  • GET /v1-pilot/status is side-effect-free and covers feature store, alpha decisions, LEAN, targets, paper execution, broker read-only, open orders, live preflight, live pilot, and reconciliation.
  • The control-plane dashboard V1 panel shows the full loop with blockers, evidence IDs, and next actions.
  • ./scripts/run-v1-cycle runs the local operator path: full backtest, alpha cycle best effort, paper cycle, and live preflight.
  • Local LEAN data support was added for verified local QC-format daily data, with default operator universe SPY,QQQ,IWM.
  • Deployment startup/env handling was fixed for Docker production startup and repo-root .env loading.
  • Date-sensitive backend e2e fixtures were stabilized.

Evidence:

  • result.md records the completed outcomes and verification evidence.
  • progress.md records the final V1 cycle and automated checks.
  • Latest pushed implementation commit: 04380c1.

Verification Evidence

  • ./scripts/run-v1-cycle completed through fail-closed live preflight.
  • Latest accepted LEAN run: bt-20260524041341-2dcf61d9.
  • LEAN status: passed.
  • Data monitor: 0 failed data requests.
  • Paper cycle: paper order plan 2, status reconciled.
  • Live preflight: blocked by explicit Toss/live gates.
  • Backend checks passed: bun run build, bun run test --runInBand, bun run test:e2e --runInBand, bun run lint, bun run format:check.
  • Frontend checks passed: bun run typecheck, bun run test:run, bun run lint, bun run format:check.
  • Python syntax check passed: python3 -m py_compile engines/lean/aggressive_llm_momentum/main.py.
  • Tracking artifact validators passed before this handoff update.

Remaining Work

External Gates

  • Fresh live alpha needs a usable fresh market-data provider. Stooq currently returns API-key/captcha content in this environment, so live alpha freshness remains blocked.
  • QuantConnect direct data download needs the Security Master map/factor subscription. The passing V1 cycle used local LEAN data.
  • Toss live readiness needs verified read-only snapshot evidence, broker credentials through external secret references, open-order polling, cancel/flatten verification, exact Toss schema verification, and intentional live/write flags.

Repo Work

  • Consolidate stale documentation that still presents the legacy report app as the main product.
  • Add the requested draw.io project diagram if documentation consolidation resumes.
  • Keep any future Toss write adapter isolated from LLM/frontend code and behind fail-closed preflight gates.

Optional Follow-Up

  • Update README.md to make V1 pilot operation the first path and legacy reports a secondary module.
  • Refresh docs/execution-readiness.md so it no longer says LEAN workspace/backtest orchestration are “not runnable yet.”
  • Add a current architecture .drawio source and exported review image if draw.io CLI is available.

Blockers

  • Real live pilot cannot proceed without external broker readiness evidence.
  • Fresh live alpha cannot proceed without a current market-data feed.
  • No successor should bypass the live preflight gate to create a real order.

Risks

  • Local historical data proves the backtest/import/paper/preflight loop, not current live-market alpha.
  • Static LLM/meta overlays are useful research inputs but are not historical walk-forward LLM validation.
  • Local environment variables are development-only for broker credentials; production needs external secret references.
  • Any live write implementation must also include cancel, flatten, open-order polling, fill reconciliation, and idempotency evidence.

First Next Actions

  1. Review result.md and progress.md first; they contain the strongest local evidence.
  2. Run git status --short --branch and confirm the branch is clean after this handoff commit.
  3. If continuing implementation, start with documentation consolidation or external readiness gates, not a broker write bypass.

Swarm Continuation

Required roles:

  • Steward: owns scope, safety gates, and merge decisions.
  • Backend writer: owns broker/data/status implementation.
  • Frontend writer: owns dashboard changes only after API shape is stable.
  • Verification runner: owns backtest, paper, preflight, and CI evidence.
  • Docs/diagram writer: owns README, readiness docs, and draw.io artifacts.

Ownership boundaries:

  • Backend writer owns backend/src/modules/v1-pilot/**, backend/test/**, and scripts only when behavior changes.
  • Frontend writer owns frontend/src/** dashboard/API typing files.
  • Docs/diagram writer owns README.md, docs/**, handoff.md, and diagram artifacts.
  • Verification runner should not edit product code except for test harness fixes agreed by the steward.

Serialization gates:

  • Broker write changes must merge only after read-only reconciliation, schema verification, cancel/flatten, open-order polling, and live preflight tests are present.
  • Documentation can run in parallel but must not claim live readiness unless verification evidence exists.
