Pre-Release

• Set type, labels, project, and milestone on this tracking issue
• Review and merge the v0.39.0-SNAPSHOT bump PR to main

Pre-release deployment

• Create a new branch on DevOps-GitOps:
  • Update development overlays to use this version
• Open PR for GitOps changes and merge
• Update staging overlays in the staging branch in DevOps-GitOps and commit
• Verify all services (api/chain/notifications, etc.) are healthy and running this version

Final Release

Pre-requisites

• Beta v0.38.0-beta.1 deployed and stable
• Run performance tests against staging
• Manual testing completed and beta approved

Publish Release

• Trigger the Release Automation workflow with version 0.38.0
• Add a short description to the GitHub release draft for v0.38.0
• Publish the GitHub release draft

Final deployment

• Create a new branch on DevOps-GitOps:
  • Update development overlays to use this version
  • Update finance overlays to use this version
  • Update devops overlays to use this version
  • Update staging overlays to use this version
• Open PR for DevOps-GitOps changes and merge
• Create a new branch on Hedera-GitOps:
  • Update back-end-council overlays to use this version
  • Update back-end-staff overlays to use this version
• Open PR for Hedera-GitOps changes and merge
• Update staging overlays in the staging branch in DevOps-GitOps and commit
• Verify all services (api/chain/notifications, etc.) are healthy and running this version

Release Testing Checklist - 0.38.0-beta.1

Tier 1 — Release Blockers (Must Pass)

Failures in any of these will block the release.

Installation

• Install app from asset (.pkg) found in the release
• Upgrade app from a previous version using the in-app upgrade process
• Install app on signing laptop and verify basic signing workflow

Tier 2 — High Priority (Should Pass)

1. Registration

• 1.3.1 "Sign in with Keychain" button is visible when OS keychain available
• 1.3.2 User can register using OS keychain

3. Settings

• 3.5.8 Keychain user sees reset application form instead of password change

4. Transactions List

• 4.2.2 Notification badges appear on relevant tabs

User Migration (TTv1 → TTv2)

• Run the TTv1-to-TTv2 migration workflow and verify keys and accounts transfer correctly
• Migrated user can connect to the organization and operate normally
