Your 3rd point could be easily fixed by setting the Device name in the Companion App the same as your old one. Like Andrej's Phone, and keeping that name consistently when upgrading to future phones. You can find that setting in the Companion App under Settings > Companiona app > Servers and device pick your HA server > Device name |

I recently switched phones from Android to Android. Pixel 7 pro to Pixel 10 pro if that matters.
As always it was a horrible experience.
Easily 10 hours wasted in total because of apps not having backups, logging in again, authenticate here and there, 2 factor this and that. You know the drill.
Could we make home assistant at least a good example?
What I did not like:
-The phone is an explicit new device, therefore old automation, using the old device don't work. Would it be possible to swap out the old phone with the new one? Especially notifications where annoying to change. However, this might be a Home Assistent issue and not relevant to the app. Not 100% sure.
I could have done a mistake here or missed something, but my experience was not great.
