Claude freezes when trying to access Home Assistant now #527

Hello, Please open an issue instead. To diagnose, we will need the logs. On macOS, they are in ~/Library/Logs/Claude/, and on Windows, they are in %APPDATA%\Claude\logs I would suggest to delete the home assisant mcp log file, restart Claude Desktop and then trying again. Then review the logs before sending for any information you don't want public like your home assistant url and such. You can include the logs in the issue or send them to github@qc-h.net if you are unsure about their content. |

Not sure if it's just a coincidence but I've just started having the same problem - it was working fine yesterday but is now stuck. I'm on a Mac using Claude Desktop. I've just spun-up the Docker container on another machine and set that up in my Claude JSON and that works OK so it looks to me like it's some sort of issue with the local MCP server although I can't see any errors in the logs (yet). |

Same thing? https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1qsdq58/claude_desktop_new_mcp_ui_bug_tools_freeze_until/ |

Confirming that expanding the menu while Claude is working on doing something related to HA does work, while not expanding the menu leaves Claude hanging. |

This appears to have been fixed by a recent update! |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I set everything up with the Claude integration a few weeks ago and have been using it successfully until yesterday, when Claude started being unable to do anything related to my Home Assistant. Whenever it starts a query it just sits there for a couple minutes and then resets the question.
It can still answer my questions in general, but any time it wants to access my Home Assistant it gets stuck. I even changed my long-lived token and Claude says it can see my Home Assistant through the ha-mcp tools available to it.
Any ideas?
