I just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you for the incredible work on the pi-hole-card. I recently built a comprehensive Home Assistant custom integration for Control D Manager, and I realized your card was so well-designed that I could use it as a "fast start" dashboard for my users.
By mapping my integration's sensors to the standard translation keys (like dns_queries_today and ads_blocked_today), the card handles the Control D telemetry and profile disables beautifully out of the box.
I wanted to make two quick points:
- Support Boundaries: I have explicitly documented in my project that this is a "limited compatibility" workaround because your card was understandably built for a different ecosystem. I have instructed my users not to bother you with support requests if certain hardcoded features (like the chart or pause buttons) don't work for them.
- Future Customization?: I totally understand if this is out of scope, but if you ever have any interest in making the card slightly more generic—specifically allowing the native "Pause" buttons to target a configurable service rather than the hardcoded Pi-hole integration—I'd be incredibly interested. No pressure at all, just throwing it out there.
Either way, thank you for building such a clean, functional piece of UI. Here are a couple of screenshots showing your card driving my Control D integration in HA!
