Standardize product descriptions

Problem

Product descriptions across the catalogue are inconsistent in structure, length, and level of detail. This makes it harder for users to quickly scan and compare products.

Proposed solution

Define a standard description template or guidelines for product descriptions. All products should be described in a consistent way so users can develop a scanning routine. This could include:

• What the product does (one sentence)
• What data it uses / what domain it covers
• Who it's for / how to use it
• Link to the source

Acceptance criteria

• Description guidelines documented
• Existing product descriptions reviewed and updated to match the standard
