Problem
The catalogue currently mixes actual products (R packages, methodological tools, derived datasets) with assets (individual figures from publications, presentation slides). These have very different discovery value, purpose, and usability. A researcher looking for tools may be confused to encounter presentation slides as a top result.
Proposed solution
Options to consider:
- Filtering/UI approach: Allow users to filter out assets, or visually distinguish them (e.g. badge or section separation).
- Data model approach: Add a field or use product type more rigorously to distinguish "primary products" from "supporting assets."
- Curation approach: Review current catalogue contents and consider whether some assets should be deprioritized or grouped under their parent product.
