Tinted application Icon on macOS 26

Hello!

MacOS 26 was released today, where the app icons are black and white in the style of the operating system. Please tell me, are there any plans to update the app icon in the Liquid Glass style?

We are working on changes for macOS Tahoe in general ¹. The icon was made to escape the squircle jail explicitly in ². I assume that we will eventually give in and adjust the icon to fit the squircle and allow tinting.

here's the weird part, if you look in Spotlight search (the replacement for Launchpad) or in the Applications folder, the icon displays properly, with the small Cyberduck logo inside a black, clear or tinted icon. It's only on the dock that the icon stays the older one and doesn't change to the new one.

This is currently intended behaviour as we include a Dock Tile plugin to set the custom application icon to avoid getting squircled.

Is the project for an icon that would not be in a “squircle jail” and would adapt to dark/tinted mode still in progress?
