Steps to reproduce the problem
Without PNG support, YAM loads with a lot of errors[1] but quickly (one minute). When PNG support is fixed, PNGs display but load time is now approximately 15 minutes.
The images add nothing of interest to me personally and I would like an option to disable images and instead have a faster startup.
