Add showUntrackedFiles and showIgnoredFiles in the config.yml

In my project, I have many untracked files in my local and I can't add it into .gitignore as it is always different, so I want add showUntrackedFiles and showIgnoredFiles in the config.yml or some how to show or hide them more easily. The space in the file section is disorder, it's not easy for me to locate the chaged file quickly.

You can configure this outside of lazygit, by doing git config status.showUntrackedFiles no. This will then not only have affect in lazygit, but also when you type git status.

For cases where you do need to see the untracked files (like when you want to turn one of them into a tracked file), you can use the ctrl-b filter feature.

In the issue title you also talk about showIgnoredFiles, but I don't see from your example why you need that.

tks for reply. I notice ignored files not show just now. And I can set showUntrackedFiles by git config to hide untracked files. Does lazygit have any plan to add an option to config.yml so do not affecting git status outside the app?

No, of course not, that's the point of ignoring them.

No. Our policy is to use git's config if it has one, and not add the same one again on our side.
