Thanks for writing this repo and the extensive documentation. I made a fork and am planning to update the code to modern fortran.

This should help me some of the problems you noted in the Fortran gotchas in the Readme. Also if you haven't tried out the fortran package manager and the fortran standard library it's fantastic and has totally changed my experience with fortran.

Eventually I plan to include the fork in my critical-soil-models repo under a general gnu license.
