any way to add cups back?

For the "Today's Feeding Quantity," is there any way to add a third entity that shows this in cups again? I know that "cups" isn't a supported unit of measurement for these sensors, but it was the most useful unit of measurement for me.

We could, but we thought it was probably best not to clutter the devices too much.

BUT, you can make a custom helper entity to get one for your own devices:

Go to Devices and Services > Helpers tab > + Create helper > Template > Sensor
Under State, copy and paste this -> {{ state_attr('<ENTITY ID>', 'cups') }}
and replace <ENTITY ID> with the entity ID of one your "Today's Feeding Quantity (Volume)" entity.
You can put "cups" or whatever you want under Unit of measurement. Just leave Device class empty otherwise you'll get repair warnings.
Under Device you can choose your Petlibro device and that'll associate this entity to your device.

You can do this for the other feed quantity sensors as well if you like.

@Staene like @FeliGoblin said, that would be the best way if you purely wanted a cups sensor.

Since home assistant doesn't support cups we felt it best to remove it and add the new Today's Feeding Quantity (Volume), Today's Feeding Quantity (Weight), Next Feed Quantity (Volume), Next Feed Quantity (Weight), Last Feed Quantity (Volume), Last Feed Quantity (Weight)

In each sensor we currently have

Which does show cups, however going forward that will only be showing in the Volume sensors.

After I spoke with @FeliGoblin we are going to make that a little less confusing so they align right with Volume and Weight, so look forward to that coming soon.
