Hello and thank you for your great work so far on this project. 👌🏻

Technical question..... Just trying to split my home heating configuration into two separate sections:
#1 Created Central Configuration to turn gas boiler On/Off. (All Works Ok)
#2 Downstairs Main zone named: "Home Heating", (underfloor heating, no "auto-regulation" applied),
#3 Upstairs zone named: "Upstairs radiators", (controlled by meross valves, with "auto-regulation"),

Under "Home Heating" device i add "Upstairs Radiators" entity, is that ok and does it have a sense? 🤔

Any suggestions regarding to any settings and re-configurating my setup, I will be appreciated.

Nice project !
I wonder why you configure one VTherm per floor and not per room. Is that normal ?
Of course you can do that, but if you want to tune each bedroom differently (example), you will need one VTherm per room.

You need one thermometer per heating zone (room or floor as you want).

The Upstair radiators into the Home Heating is really curious. Do you need to have only one heating zone for all your house ?

The normal configuration is to have one VTherm per room and a thermometer in each room. With that you will be able to control the target temp of each room independantly and with different regulation level. This is certainly the best configuration.

But it depends of your needs of course.

Hmmmmmm, you pointed me in the right direction now.. 👏🏻

To start with I did created one vtherm and had all of my underlying entities under it.

Then, my second move, was to split my config into two sections, as you aware.

I didn't realise, that To do it properly you have to created vtherm for each room/thermostat individually.

Happy days..... little project for tonight 😂

When I'll do that, how I can operate temperature from one vtherm thermostat card in HA for all of them vtherms?

Is there any specific settings/parameters for it?

you could use Smart Autotune Thermostat if you have a modulating boiler you can control to drive/sync the per-room vtherms. Or use scheduling component if you want manual schedule.

Start usecase is to use motion (or presence) feature on vtherm to automate heating. (so no extra custom components strictly needed)

also with magic_areas custom component you could drive per-area thermostats. (even per floor or all)

This is a special entity linked to a temperature sensor that is updated even if the temperature don't change. If a temperature sensor don't change Vtherm can't find out if it is the sensor which is broken (battery) or if the temperature is just stable.

You have to create one Scheduler entry per VTherm. You can follow the steps in the link I provide. Scheduler is very powerful but can be a bit complex if you don't know it. Maybe find first a tuto to learn how to use it.

Ok. I get managed to presets Scheduler for all 7 VTherms.

Another issue/sugestion:

I would like to keep one physical thermostat in my Dining Room as a main one a Master.
It will be for my family in case when they will decide to turn on the heating manually.

I did setup an option on this vtherm called " follow underlying temp change", but that seems to not working correctly in my current setup.
Only does a change to that specific underlying thermostat not to all of them in my house(mandatory), therefore my boiler want trigger at all.

Any suggestions on this please 🙏

Sure, see my configuration below:
7 x Vtherms in total now.

The highlighted vtherm will be the Master so you could manually operate from the wall to change temperature.

Now.....

I want that any temperature changes on Master unit alters a temperature set points on x6 remaining Vtherms?
In that scenario I'll be have a perfect and fully functioning heating system.

ok why not. You can do that by creating (or use) a Vtherm over_climate with all the other VTherm as underlying.
When you do that, each change (temperature, preset, on/off) on the master will be sent to the underlying's Vtherm.
Then you can set the "follow underlying temp change" on this master so that a change on one of the underlying will be reflected on the master and then on the other underlyings.

It is not a common use case, but It should work.

There is only one thing,that "Presets" not getting link in-between Vtherms.

yes with this "hack" the main VTherm will only send the temperature to the linked VTherm and not the preset. I have no solution to synchronize the preset. Have in mind that this is a hack. It has not been done with this feature in mind.

Last question.
Would be better to keep scheduler for PRESETS as it is , operating all x7 vtherms, or swap to one Main Master Vtherm and he will do a job?

For me (in my use case) all Vtherm should be independant: bedroom heats only after 22h00, kitchen and living-room are heated from 6h00 to 23h00, ... Some don't have any Schedule and are in 'activity' mode like the desk room because I'm not always here, ... So each have a different planning (schedule) or behavior.

I don't imagine in what cases you could have all rooms with the same planning but you may have one.

I always use preset so that I have the presence and AC mode automatically manage. The scheduler always sets a preset (and never a temperature directly).

Just to let you know, that after the last update the system start behaving weird.
It's keep turning OFF itself every now and again, without any reasons.

I got it now.

Looks like it was automatic open windows detection stopping whole system to Off state, but I can't work it out how to bring the system back to previous state(heating), after windows detection goes away.
