Change default terminal

I'm trying to change the default terminal to Kitty on Archlinux with Gnome, but nothing I've found seems to work, I don't have more experience with Archlinux. Anyone know how to change the default terminal?

Oh man I misread the original question. Sorry.

To set default apps on Gnome, go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps

However, there is not an option for a default terminal. Default apps are for handling web links or opening images and such. What are you hoping to achieve by setting a default terminal?

I usually just open kitty directly when I want to use it.

I want to change the default terminal because I uninstalled the gnome-terminal, and I can't use a lot of apps

But what's preventing you from opening kitty when you want to use a terminal? It doesn't have to be a default app to use it.

maybe via gnome-tweak-tool or settings app in about system you will see default application.
