Scanopy is available under two license options:
The open source version is available under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. This means you can use, modify, and distribute Scanopy freely, but you must:
- Make your source code available if you run it as a network service
- License your modifications under AGPL-3.0
- Provide attribution
For organizations that want to use Scanopy without AGPL-3.0 obligations, we offer commercial licenses.
- No source code disclosure requirements when running Scanopy as a network service
- No copyleft obligations when distributing modifications
- Optional support from project maintainers
Contact licensing@scanopy.net for pricing and terms.
A commercial license is right for you if:
- You want to integrate Scanopy into proprietary software
- You don't want to disclose your modifications
- You need to run Scanopy as a service without AGPL compliance
