Description
Currently, users who are interested in the research of a particular chair registered in the thesis management system cannot access theses after they have been handed in, nor are they automatically invited to thesis defence presentations, unless they have at least advisor rights.
This makes it difficult for interested internal members (e.g. admins or affiliated researchers) to stay informed about ongoing research activities.
Feature Request
Add an option in the Research Group Settings to define a list of users who:
- Are granted read access to theses that have already been handed in
- Are automatically invited to the corresponding thesis defence presentations
- This user list should be treated as an internal access-control list and must not be visible when browsing all research groups in the general Research Groups overview.
Use Case
Add the ITG Admins in the new user list
