This error happens when the browser (or other client) sends a request with headers that go beyond the limit set in the nginx server, which by default is around 1kb with the possibility to go up to 33kb (the way nginx handles this is a bit complex).

nginx ignition doesn't have an option to customize this yet, but I can add one so you can change the default value and solve your problem. I will get back to this thread to let you know when the new version is available, it shouldn't take long.

Version 2.22.0 is out with an updated settings page that allows you to customize the buffers sizes. You should be able to resolve your problem by adjusting the "Large client headers" and/or "Client headers" options under the Advanced tab to a higher value that fits your use case.
